MKK helps young people embrace healthy lifestyles by changing their risk-taking behavior and by improving their knowledge and practice of sexual and reproductive health. We further lobby and advocate for the highest attainable standard of health within Korogocho, including reproductive health care, inform the youth on HIV/AIDS and STIs and how to avoid infection and bad choices, provide free contraception and advice on sexual issues and family planning to promote healthy choices and behavior, inform and promote the UNAIDS/WHO targets and guidelines as a lead agency in fighting HIV/AIDS – such as Treatment for All and the 90-90-90 targets.
Through various programs, MKK is addressing the issue of Pregnant Parenting Adolescents (PPA’s) and how these young people can share their lived-experiences. MKK is also engaged with likeminded stakeholders to challenge policies of societal exclusion and mitigation of child bearing age.
